MASON CITY – The existing O’Reilly’s auto parts store in Mason City will relocate farther south on South Federal Avenue, and will be next to new Dollar General Store.
Mason City’s Development Review Committee has approved plans for a new O’Reilly’s auto parts store at 1602 South Federal Avenue, according to city documents. A city mainstay for decades, the “Elements building” has already been demolished to make way for the new store. The current store at 1002 South Federal Avenue will be relocated to this site.
Also, the Development Review Committee is finishing review of a new Dollar General Store at 1710 South Federal Avenue, nearby the auto parts store that is being built. The Dollar General will be in front of the new indoor self storage facility that is set to open soon, that was the former Sears department store.
