8 Millard County Chronicle-Progress HINCKLEY Sharon Western Ph: 864-3335 Ronald and Shirley Morris and three children Tammie, Stacie and John Daniel of Calif. spent the weekend with parents Harold: and Belva Morris. On Saturday Carl and Beryl Hardy went to Holden celebrate Father's Day with Beryl's father, Clyde Wood. Family members from Salt Lake were Lavon and Earl Hunter, Wyla and Rulon Sherwood and Eudene Thompson. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and all had a nice time visiting.

I can't leave out mom. She was there also, and we love them both. Wayne, Thora, Ward and NaRae Peterson left on June 11 for New Orleans. The first day they drove to Albuquerque, TX. This was a beautiful drive.

After two days of driving through beautiful pine trees and swampy land and oil pumps they arrived in Lake Charles where they met Jill and husband (Jill is Ward and NaRae's daughter and son-in-law). Then they drove on into Baton Rouge, then New Orleans where they spent two nights. We went to the French Quarter, Bourbon Street and had dinner and a cruise on the Creole Queen. Then we started on our way home. We went to Morgan City.

While there we went to the swamp museum and saw alligators and one of the oldest Cyprus trees that is left standing. Also while there we went to the Century House and saw some of the costumes that are on display from the Mardi Gras Parade. Then on to Alexander, LA, then to Bowre, TX. From there to New Mexico and then to Colorado. In Pueblo, CO we went to the Royal Forge then over the Continental Divide, Montrose and Junction, CO and on home.

Everyone had such a good time, we were sorry that when we stopped on our way through Colorado NaRae had the misfortune of falling and breaking her arm. Better luck next time, NaRae. Gene and Carol Bishop held their family reunion at their home June 20. There were 3 33 family members present. There was a lot of visiting done and sandbox, swimming pools, etc.

Mike Brown had the misfortune to fall. I hear that he is wearing a cast. Hope you hurry and get better, Mike. A Wright family reunion was held at the Hinckley Chapel on Saturday of last week. There were over 300 hundred in attendance.

A pot luck lunch was enjoyed and the afternoon spent organizing a Joseph Wright family organization. A thoroughbred Arabian horse was raffled off and Belva Morris was the lucky winner. Games were played and everyone had fun meeting family members that they had never seen before. What I am wondering is what Belva will do with an Arabian horse. On Saturday afternoon Rodney Wright I left for a trip to Israel and Egypt with Marlow Neilson group that is making a tour of these places.

Family members to see their father off on this trip were Bob, Elwin, Edward, John and Mel. We will have more on the trip when Rodney gets home. A happy surprise for Russell and Leslie Talbot came Tuesday morning when the phone rang and it was from Social Services telling them that they had a baby girl for them. They were to be in Salt Lake by 10 a.m. Wednesday to get their bundle of joy.

Everyone is happy for them. After waiting for so long, home waiting for the wee little miss is big brother Brandon. She weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. and 19 inches long.
